Despina Gavala – The beauty expert for the VIPs of Mykonos

The first nail spa in Mykonos has been in business for 20 years. The story began when its founder Despina Gavala visited Mykonos for a summer vacation and, fascinated by the island, decided to stay permanently. Despina Gavala was the first to create a beauty salon with high standards to offer hairdressing, laser aesthetics, massage, and solarium services.

“It is a wonderful feeling to make someone’s day beautiful by pampering them and having them leave happy and relaxed,” she tells us.

In addition to the largest Beauty salon, there are two other spaces on the island, a boutique with clothes of famous designers and a massage spa.

She has made her own line of cosmetics, LYS with body creams, shower gels, perfumes, and scented candles. LYS is a series of products and cosmetics whose initials mean “Love Your Self” and this is the message she gives to all her customers and friends.
