Tonight at 10 Downing str., the Union Flag flies at half-mast in the memory of Captain Sir Tom Moore! Veteran Captain Tom Moore, who became a British hero last year when he raised a record 33 million pounds for the National Health Service (NHS) amid a pandemic, has died at the age of 100.
Tom Moore, who was honored by Queen Elizabeth as “Sir”, was being treated for the covid19.
His family announced: “It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved father, Captain Tom Moore, a World War II veteran,” his daughters, Hannah and Lucy, said in a statement. They added that they feel grateful because they managed to be by his side during the last hours of his life. RIP to hero Sir Captain Tom Moore
