World Peace Awards 2025 by the Le Soleil Foundation

At the Acropolis Museum, on December 16, 2025, the year came to a close with a distinguished awards ceremony: the World Peace Awards by the Le Soleil Foundation, an event that clearly reflects the essence, vision, and personal imprint of Ada Iliopoulou, renowned journalist and Founder of the Le Soleil Foundation.

Held under the auspices of UNESCO, at the iconic Acropolis Museum, with the presence of Major of Athens Mr Harris Doukas, the evening highlighted the power of cultural diplomacy and the importance of social responsibility. The presence of international figures and the honoring of individuals who actively serve the values of peace confirmed that light—when it is true—is recognized worldwide.

The World of Peace Award honored distinguished personalities from Greece’s business, institutional, and shipping sectors for their social and humanitarian contributions. Among the recipients were Vasilis Apostolopoulos, CEO of Athens Medical Group; Haris Vafias; Giorgos Alexandratos, President of the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping; Isidoros Kouvelos, President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee; Giorgos Koumoutsakos, Permanent Representative of Greece to UNESCO; as well as Kostis Georgiou, who designed the award.
